Claraty */*/*//- Claraty is a 1994 American Warmblood mare that came in to our lives in 1996, and was purchased in 1997 to be Sara's first warmblood. Starting in 1998, Claraty dominated the local and national show arenas and continues to do so to this day. She has stayed competitive and continues winning through three different riders. She is an amazing horse! These are just a few of her accomplishments: 1998 AWS Horse of the Year- National Level Dressage 1998-2003- Remaining in the Top Three USDF Junior Horse of the Year
...and then Clara took a little break to learn how to be a child's hunter....
2005-2010- Numerous Grand Champion 4-H titles from Novice Hunter Horse to Advanced Hunter Horse, including State Championship Finals in Hunt Seat Equitation and Hunt Seat Equitation over Fences
....but she was still showing dressage....
2007, 2008, and 2010 Ohio State Fair Dressage representative at Training level. Did not compete in 2007 due to schedule conflict with Summit County Fair 2008 Reserve Champion at Training Level 2010 3rd at Training Level with high 60's scores, qualifying scores up to 75%.
And does the Grand Olde Dame have any plans of slowing down- No way! She's happiest when competing and will continue to take Children and Juniors over fences or through their tests.

Miss Classy Lasso- At one point or another, if you take lessons at J-Bar, you will eventually ride Lassie. Lassie is a 1985 AQHA mare that has lived at the farm since she 1988. She was bred by Cecil Quarter Horses, and we are privileged to have had such a wonderful mare in our care.
Lassie spent years as a show horse before being put into the lesson program in 2000. She showed 4H with many riders, including Sara, who showed her from 1995-1999. Lassie was Sara's first horse to take her to state in all of the years she showed her, in every class from Showmanship and Hunt Seat Equitation, to Poles and Speed & Control, to Dressage.
Lassie has also produced two foals, A Classy Hunter (registered Classie Percentage), who was Reserve Champion with his current owner in Intermediate Hunter and Reserve Champion Versatility at the Summit County Fair, and Poco King Tribute, who is a successful Poles pony in Pennsylvania. She is in foal for a 2011 foal to Tuff Up Chocoholic.

Jenny- J-Bar did not start out with the intention of rescuing horses, but in 1992 we helped rescue two mares from an abusive situation. They were malnourished and afraid of people. Dolly, the other mare, was diagnosed with navicular and retired to a forever home in Portage County, and Jenny, a very kind, child-safe Appaloosa mare stayed with us. She was so happy to be loved that she quickly put on weight and became friendly toward people again.
From 1994 to 1996, Jenny competed in Endurance Trail competitions. She did very well in them; she was the county representative for the State Trail Ride two years in a row and was Reserve Champion in 1995. Jenny loves to go on the trails, work in the arena, and just be around people.
At 36, she is the oldest horse on the farm. She continues to give beginner riding lessons and is happiest when in work.

Leelita- (1993-2009) Leelita was Sara's main show horse from 2001 until her untimely death in 2009.
